Apply online
Fill in the registration form at our creator portal. Tell us about yourself and the type of assets you create.
Personal conversation
We schedule a short 1-on-1 call or chat to get to know you, discuss your workflow, and answer your questions.
Review & onboarding
We review your portfolio and confirm that everything meets our CC0 requirements. You'll hear back by email.
Start uploading
Once approved, you get access to the creator dashboard and can start contributing assets straight away.
Licensing
CC0 — No rights reserved
Every single asset on Lazy Textures is released under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license. This is the foundation of everything we do — and a requirement every creator must fully understand and agree to before joining.
What CC0 means Important
CC0 means you waive all copyright and related rights to your work worldwide, to the extent permitted by law. Once an asset is published under CC0, anyone can use, copy, modify, and distribute it — even commercially — without asking for permission and without giving credit.
This means you cannot later claim royalties, restrict how the asset is used, or revoke the license. Before submitting any asset, you must be 100 % certain you hold all rights to it — original work only, no third-party content, no AI-generated assets from models trained on non-CC0 data.
If you are unsure whether an asset qualifies, reach out before uploading. Violating this agreement will result in immediate removal of your content and your creator account.
Requirements
What we expect
We hold every creator to the same standard. These are non-negotiable conditions of the program.

100 % original work All assets must be created entirely by you. No scans, models, or textures from third-party sources unless they are already under CC0 and properly attributed during the review.

Full CC0 agreement You must agree to release every submitted asset under CC0 before upload. This is legally binding and cannot be undone after publication.

Quality standard Assets must meet our technical quality bar — proper resolution, clean UV maps, correct naming, and usable previews. We review every upload before it goes live.

No harmful or inappropriate content Assets must not depict violence, hate, adult content, or anything that could harm individuals or groups. We reserve the right to remove any asset without notice.

Reachability Creators must keep their email address up to date and respond to messages from our team within a reasonable time. We need to be able to contact you if issues arise.
